about

#monbattelle part 4:

Time for another birthdaytrack. This track will remain free the whole year till another birthdaytrack takes over.

Being part 4 in the #monbattelle series, this song is in honour of the reception of weakened children during World War Two in the castle of Baron Empain located in Battel-Mechelen, Belgium.

It's may 17 1940 when the German forces occupy Mechelen. It's the start of a four year occupation. Heavy bombings on the account of the germans and the allied forces create lots of victims. Many children were weakened-parentless during that time. They found refuge in the castle along the canal Mechelen-Leuven.

The track itself is a processed bass guitar which hints to the ordeal of war and the fear that is connected to it.
